  1. Use 1/4" concrete anchors. Go to the hardware store and have a salesman help you.

  2. if you are framing 2x4's on the flat side then you can use a ramset.  this is a good and solid way to attach to concrete

  3. There are a variety of masonry anchors you can get at the hardware store.  They often involve drilling a small hole and then s******g in an anchor, and a s***w goes into the anchor.  You can replace the s***w with whatever length you need to incorporate the 2x4's thickness.

  4. Concrete is tough, I cannot see you destroying it trying to fix a piece of wood to it. If the wall is reasonably flat you can glue it, ask for advice at the hardware store, or you can drill holes in the wall, then get some "rawl  bolt " which you put in the hole,  drill a hole for the s***w in the timber, the size of this hole will be the size of the s***w or bolt. s***w through the timber into the rawl bolt, job done.

  5. Use and expansion type of anchor bolt. You can get these at any hardware store. How firmly you need to secure the stub will determine just what type of anchor you need.

  6. try tapcon masonry screws, avaialble at any big box or hware store. they s***w directly into masonry without an anchor. s***w them into the mortar joints, not the block. the center of the block is hollow.

    hope that helps.

  7. hang it from some sky hooks just ask at ur diy shop they all do them, oh better ask for a long stand and a glass hammer to fix them as well while your on

Some tartan paint would really finish it off

  8. I kinda had this problem because my basement was waterproofed, but I had to secure two by fours to the floor to build walls. What I did was bought some real tough adhesive or construction glue to secure it.Word of advise, make sure you read the label for warnings and make sure you ventilate real well. This stuff is nasty smellin.

  9. You could use polyeurathane construction adhesive.
