I have an old Mitsubishi (1991) and just got a sub, amp, DVD players, head unit, speakers etc from winning a 'pimp your ride' competition. Im in an area where break ins occur and these are the hottest items to steal. If I install all this, how could I help protect my car and new contents because insurance wont cover it.

BTW it has a fake alarm. (Flashing Light) which i currently use.

  1. Go with a LoJack and your problems will be all over...

  2. My boyfriend has the same problem- his car is full of TV's, subs, amps, speakers, dvd players, the works.  He has tinted windows so that it not only accents his car- but also prevents other people from knowing what is inside. He also does not display any stickers on his car that tell what is inside- like no logos for any of the products. If i were you depending on how much $$ you want to spend protecting your car, I would see if there is a safer place to park it- like maybe a covered garage or a secure parking lot. If you live in a city, there should be some around. If you can- try to insure every piece of equipment that you own. That might be the best protection you can have in case the unthinkable happens. Or buy a huge pitbull and have him sit in the back seat....

  3. Yea seems like you cannot keep nice things these days. Get a real pager alarm and a 44 magnum handgun. Now everyone know's your pimped out Mitsu has a fake alarm... Not to bright! Find garage space? Sell your TV car  Buy a bland Ford or Nissan Honda or Toyota keep it completely stock don't attract attention
