How can I seem ecstatic about getting this car?

I am really ecstatic about getting this car from my grandad and i want to show him how happy i am but i usually just keep my emotions to myself when I get presents from people. he is giving me a $15,000 toyota celica for $4,000 and I really want to show him how much this means to me.

Tell him thankyou and crack a smile when you grab the keys. Go out and drive it. Offer to use it to either give him a ride or pick something up for him.

After you have had it a month or so, write him a letter or call him. Maybe even look for a card with someone driving a car or take a picture of yourself with it. Tell him how much you are enjoying it!

If he is too far away to see your smile or too far away for you to give him a ride or come visit - then give him a call or write a letter saying "Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you i love my new car thank you thank you thank you you're the best grandad in the world thank you thank you thank you gotta go get gas now thank you thank you thank you love ya thank you thank you thank you bye"

A car is a big deal. I bet he knows you're excited! Just make sure he sees your face light up a little and hears a "thank you". And obviously - use the car responsibly.

Just spend more time with him.

Write him. Do it reliably. Tell him what you do with and to the car.  Hope it goes well and don't complain to him if problems (which shouldn't be with a Toyota anyway.)

Name the car after him and put in a decal or paint job on the side.

Get a vanity plate that says THNK GMPS  if you are allowed that many letters in your state.

Just give him a big hug and say thank you so much. He should know you don't show your emotions alot. so I doubt he will be offended.
