How can I send a text message to a verizon wireless customer from my Yahoo account?

I want to send a text message to someone very close to my heart and I was wondering how to do this from my computer.

https://www.vtext.com/customer_site/jsp/...  do it threw here first and have them reply back your email address.. than you will get the address for it and add that to your address book and than you can text them from your email anytime you want

My boyfriend uses verizon wireless, and I send him messages from my Yahoo account by typing his 10-digit number (no dashes) @vtext.com. Now, he may have had to activate something on his end to use the vtext.com thing, I don't know. Try and see if it works.
