How can I send an SMS message from my mobile phone to a Yahoo IM user?

I would like to be able to send SMS messages to people in my yahoo friends list. I would like to initiate the message, rather than reply to their messages.

  1. depending on wireless carrier, you may have to download yahoo messenger on your phone.
