Question:

How can I send someones mail back?

We keep receiving mail that belongs to someone else that used to live in our house. We have sent it back to the post office for over 3 years and we keep getting it! It is only one thing in particular and we opened it once to see what it was before we sent it back (I know that was wrong) and it is some sort of debt, or debt collection thing. I don't think these letters are getting to him at all, or he does not care to pay them at all, but how can we get the post office to finally acknowledge that he does not live here? Thanks.

  1. Cross out your address and write across the front 'Not at this address, return to sender' and put it back in the post box unopened ...

If you know where he is now, open them up and cross out your address and write his address in it's stead .. then use any Reply Paid envelopes to send back the whole letter ..

There is NO point it 'sending them on' (plainly after 3 years he has NO intention of giving out his new address ..)

NB> It's not just the people sending the letters who think he is still at your address - the Credit Reference Agencies think so too, and YOUR Credit Score is going to be trashed for 'living with' some-one who is in default ..

  2. I got on www.zabasearch.com to find the guy who gets all the letters at my house.  He moved out of my house in 1988.  20 years ago and the mail still comes.  The Post Office doesn't care altho they will send it to him if i write his address on the letter and PLEASE FORWARD.

  3. Can you contact the company that keeps sending the letters?

Let them know that he doesn't live there..

  4. They throw them away at the post office I think, its a common problem just talk to your post lady/guy and ask him your question. They are usually more straight forward and helpful then the actual post office

    good luck
