Please help... I'm trying to figure out how much I should spend for my daughter's birthday party...

There will be about 20 kids in total (plus any parents who decide to stay).

How much should I spend on:

-- Food

-- the cake

-- decorations

-- party favors

-- anything else you can think of

  1. make a price and stick with it, $200 if your buying everything. hand make all the stuff and about $100

  2. Try evite.com. You can send out invites, get tips and there is a budget tool as well.

  3. Food - Depends if you are making it or not. You could try and make it at a time like 2pm - 4.30pm so that you are not feeding the kids a meal. That way you just have to do some small nibbly foods (chips, lollies, popcorn, etc) which should be no more than $60.

Cake - You could make this yourself for a little amount! Or you should be able to buy one from a cake shop from around $30.

Decorations - I am not sure how old your daughter is, but she might enjoy making some things? Streamers, balloons, etc all look great.

Party Favors - Does your town have a $2 Shop kind of thing? You could go down there and buy some little presents to be used. And maybe put all leftover lollies or something into each guests lootbag.

    Hope I have helped! =D

  4. check this site out http://www.evite.com/app/party/calculato... its awesome you just fill in the blanks it said for 26 people kid birthday 3 hours long:

    Food: $139-188

    Drinks: $36-49

    Decorations: $155-206

    entertainment: $225-300

    TOTAL PARTY BUDGET   $555 - $743

Heres a good tip: don't let the food run out before you want the party to be over of course it really depends on how much you have to spend, but you get the idea
