I have a Linksys wireless-g 2.4 ghz with speed booster for the hard wired computer, as well as the wireless usb connector for the wireless computer. Every time I turn on the wireless computer I have to "repair" the wireless connection and then go back and wait like 25 mins while all my other things update and so on. How can I keep the wireless connection up without having to repair it all the time, unless there is a problem with it the modem?

  1. It sounds like an interference problem from a neighbor's wireless network.  It could also be interference from your wireless phone or a neighbor's wireless phone.  To fix this, do the following:

    Login to the router.

    Go to the Wireless tab.

Change the channel to 1, 6, or 11.

Most likely you are already on 6.  If you change it to anything other than 1, 6, or 11, you are just messing other people's wireless up.  All the other channels have overlap.  Using 1, 6, and 11 are the only ways you can get the maximum of 3 non overlapping channels.
