How can I set up the widescreen screen for my desktop PC?

I have a new DELL widescreen monitor screen for my desktop PC and, although the settings seem OK, I see everything stretched out!! Could you help me, please?

You need to select a widescreen resolution like 1440x900.

If you select a 4:3 resolution like 1280x 800 it will have to stretch it to fill the wider screen.

just install your software drivers and go to the property of desktop. set ur resolution as prefer for Ur monitor.

You will have to go to the Properties/SEttings and set the screen resolution based on your widescreen monitor.
