How can I ship a heavy used TV over to Ireland as cheap as possible?

I have a 37" Sony that I really need to get rid of in the Uk but would be perfect for my Dad's house in Ireland. I've heard it's possible to get exporters to carry things over for you - but does anyone know where to get started with something like that? Names/links etc would be ideal!

  1. My aunt and uncle are diplomats and whenever they need to ship or send large items they use ship cargo, it takes the longest but it is the cheapest.  The only thing is the TV will not work in Irlans the Tv's have different pixels they will not be able to watch DVD's and the power supply is fifferent.  Why don't you see if y ou can order one in Ireland.

  2. you can go to www.ups.com or www.federalexpress.com but what you have to remember that it might not work at your dads house.it depends on what brand and type.just like a tv from the US will not work in europe.

  3. whatever route you choose, it will probably work out as dear as buying him a second hand tv thats already in Ireland. Try
