How can I shop online from Egypt? Does it cost extra when it enters the country?

Hi, I've never shopped online before and I live in Egypt. I wanted to know how anyone ordered something online before and how it went.

-Do I have to pay ANYTHING besides what I paid online + shipping fees? like customs?

- Is the stuff delivered to your house or do I have to pick it up from somewhere?

- Can you give me a website that lists the custom rates and prices for Egypt?

I can only adivse you about books and CDs!

Hi try to get the stuff delivered to an official address where someone is available most of the day.

For books I never have to pay anything and the amazon delivery service is excellent.

For CD's you usually have to pay in the region of 25LE per item.

For other types of goods I do not know.

The big Cairo malls now have most of the stuff you would aim to get from abroad in the past.

to order from egypt at anysite out of egypt you must have a credit card for "internet use" it avialbel at bank misr and alahly banks only at egypt.

then when you shop at any web site it should accept mastercard or visa from egypt.

when you buy and pay for your produst you will bay for shipping also.

at port your product will be reversed then you or your shipping comany should pay addtional fee for the port "gamaric ya3ny".

then the shpping company should give give the product for you.

shipping should take 5 days if you using express shipping company like DHL Fedex Aramex or UPS.
