Question:

How can I simulate horizontal keystoning on a projector which only has vertical keystoning?

Hi. I've got an Optoma projector, which I am unable to place directly above and opposite the wall I use as my screen. Instead, it is placed slightly to the left and behind the viewing position. I have vertical keystoning to correct a slight distortion achieved by not having the projector ceiling-mounted (it is placed on a tall shelf) but I have searched my projector's menu for horizontal keystoning only to not find it. Is there some software I can install on windows which will digitally "keystone" the 2nd monitor output for me? Thanks!

  1. If you cannot "flip it on it's side" then you have three options.

    1. Mount the projector in the appropriate place

    2. Horizontally rotate your screen to be perpendicular to the projector

    3. Return the Optima and buy a projector with horizontal keystone adjustments

  2. "flip it on its side" you could do that but would your projector rotate the image?

  3. flip it on its side
