How can I sing higher/better?

I am a low singer and although not bad I would like to learn to hit those high notes, keep my voice going, and opening up my throat

Singing Lessons. A vocal coach/teacher will be able to help you and guide you through learning proper technique, placement, how to use your breath and support and therefore extend your range, length of notes, and better quality and tone.

Whatever you do do not push your voice. You will do damage to it in the long run. If you are serious about singing seek lessons.

Breath through your nose and hold you tongue towards you pallet more when pronouncing words and let the air come out slowly.
