How can I sing in Rockband on Xbox 360?

Ok,

I just bought the instrumental Rockband kit on Xbox 360,

the one with guitar, drums and mic,

how do I select solo singing career?

Ps. The game doesn't seem to recognize the mic at all,

when I select multiplayer,

it says "plug in controller" where the mic symbol is.

if it is like the nintendo version then you need to have an xbox controller connected. sorry if this is no help i dont have an xbox.

The mic itself cannot be noticed by the xbox as its own controller. You have to connect a controller to the xbox and then you can use the mic. As for the solo singing career, you need to only connect the mic, or have the mic be 1p and you can use the solo career.

It can be two things, either 1. your mike is not working (rockband´s instruments are not of a very good quality, this has been a huge problem to rockband´s developers, in my case the drumkit and the guitar stopped working after the first week) or 2. to move through the menu with the mic you need to connect an xbox 360 controller, maybe that´s what missing, hope it helps.
