How can I sneak a look at river country?

I am going to Mickey's Backyard Barbecue in 2 weeks time. Is it possible to walk to the old river country and see what is left?

Has anyone ever done this?

  1. Some one did it a few years ago by swimming there. It was on youtube I think.
