get broadband, you'll never use dialup again.

Dial-up is limited to 48kbps (due to the needs of the telephone network).  The only way to speed it up, if it's not close to that, is to move closer to the telephone central office.  The farther you are the slower the connection.

Broadband (cable or DSL) is much faster.
