How can I sprint faster?

How can I get faster for the 100m and 200m? Are there certain exercises or foods I can eat? What are and how do you improve your 'fast-twitch' muscles? Is this myth about speed boosting yams true?

  1. Start with 6-8 week for 30 minutes runs

    then during  the Christmas vacation get into a gum and start developsomemstrengthh and power with the Olympicweights.

    Also I have a per season conditioning period ( in Calif we are not able to havofficialapracticece until lasJanuaryrt or earlFebruaryay) I put my distancrunesrs into it, after they return to school every year.



    Get into it and find some local all-comer meets to get some idea of your 100 and 200-meter times. This willl be a good indicatorior of what kind of shep your in and I think your coach will be pleased.


  2. start off with less time and distance for a practice and build on that. you will gain more speed when your practice times grow. when you sprint make sure you pick up your knees and take big strides. focus only on your goal and push yourself forward with all your power. make sure you eat right and stretch bofore and after you run.
