How can I stabalise camera motion when using a dolly on an uneven surface such as a pavement?

I'm using a manfrotto 181b dolly with a 055 pro B tripod which is giving me great smooth shots on carpet and laminate flooring, but not so great on hard bumpy surfaces like pavements or tiles. I've been looking for some kind of stabiliser that will work with the dolly but cant seem to find any. I know I could get a steadycam but i specifically want to keep using the dolly.

U need to lay plywood down or use a rail system.  Plywood B cheaper.
