How can I start a Good Garrys Mod Server?

Like one that can stay up 24/7! BUT HOW DO I DO IT? I tried creating multiplayer but that failed, how can I create a good server like everyone else has on gmod? THANK YOU FOR ALL GOOD ANSWERS!
