How can I start a charity to help the flood victims?

I'm 15 and I live in NY. I read the stories about the floods in the midwest everyday. I really would like to help these people out. Their lives are destroyed. How can I raise a lot of money or start a charity?

Something similiar happened to a little girl a few years ago. She went around to her community and told everyone that if each person donated $1 they could help. You may want to raise the pirce up and expand from your community but it just might work. Good thinking and I really hope that you can help =]

You could just choose an existing charity to raise money for, and then knock on your neighbors' doors and ask for donations, or else organize a party that you have to pay to go to and use that as donations.
