  1. 98 percent of all new businesses fail in the first year... the reason... underfunding... PERIOD.!

$3000 would barely pay for all the taxes, licenses, rent and untilities to start a small business....The insurance alone would eat up much of that bankroll...  it's such a small amount that you will just be throwing your money away.

I've started several businesses and it takes a minimum of $100,000 to open a business with any expectation of success. and I don't believe in HOME BASED BUSINESSES... because a BUSINESS WITHOUT A SIGN IS NOT A BUSINESS.

  2. You shld try MLM...

My BF has a business and is recruiting ppl.. he is doing very well in his business.. if you are interested, you can actually email me....

I'm living very well .. hahhaha...

  3. Think small!

  4. 1) Try setting up a drink stall selling ice kachang or bubble tea, it's small.

    2) Setup a company, make a brand, go Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia buy a OEM product (food stuff should be good), brand it, send to Singapore get approval, sell it.

  5. Yes, sell insurance, property, MLM

actualy, it depends on what type of business that you're looking at.

its true that business required alot of money, however, if you start small, eventually it will grow bigger. You can go on home-based. No harm in duin that.

You can try selling fashion appareals that you can get overseas for much lesser price (buy in bulk) and sell it back.

But u haf to be strong. Its required lots of patient and hardwork. you may not see a high amount of return in the first two years, but if you persevere, you'll get you reward. You should also manage your finance well.

On the other hand, you can try MLM?network marketing/RDF as others have mentioned. There's a lot of MLM in Singapore that you can try to look for and which suits you better.

  7. I wouldn't suggest MLM. It is true that one can make good money with MLM but it does take a long time to build up your downlines. Personally, I can only recruit or sell what I really believe in and am very good at.

I am into selling pre-owned laptops and have been doing well both retail and wholesale. I started out with $1000 and I am now building a website to start selling on there instead of running around. I want most of my retail sales to be on the website; wholesale customers can still be in person most of the time.

The key is to find good source of suppliers and I am constantly looking out for more, never feel too comfortable with current sources.

I buy from wholesalers who purchase in bulk from corporate or government auctions. They will refurbish the laptops, I just buy from them in good condition to turn around and get rid off 'em quickly.

You can start small by buying small quantities; keep putting the money back into buying more, and always welcome both retail and wholesale customers instead of just focusing on retails (I know a lot of ppl do so cuz you get more profits selling retails, but it's not always good). It does take me time to build up the business because I didn't have $100K to start out, but I'm very happy with the progress.

If you're looking for quick return on investment, I'd say get into buying and selling like what I'm doing; not necessarily have to be computers or laptops. But MLM will not bring you quick cash.

  10. hi

take a look at network marketing, as you can make a six figure plus if you work the business..i am looking for someone in singapore who want to be their own boss by running their own business from home. visit www.freedom-to-live.co.uk

  11. I start with $1000.00 and turn me more than $2000.00 less than 4 months. there's no secret for this .......I just try best to sell my products, target my right market...........I sell bird'nest during that time, if u really heard about this products u should know I tell the true.......be it MLM or some other kind of biz it juz dosen't matter ..........the point is u hv to work hard to maximise ur profits and of course u hv to be in right field n to be very firm with what u r doing.

  12. May i suggest network marketing, aka MLM. It requires a small start-up capital and you can build your business into an asset. I believe u are looking for passive income, and this is one way. Many people underestimate the power of network marketing, you must have an open mind. Check out network marketing books at the Lib. Also books by Robert Kiyosaki. Lots of info for u.

Another way is to trade currencies. You can get free education at www.babypips.com. Pretty much all the info u need about trading is there. I would suggest u use OANDA as your boker. 'Spreads' as little as 1.5 pips on EUR/USD(you will learn about this).

    Wish u all the best.

  13. thats really not realistic

any business making huge profits needs a large investment

    good luck

  14. You should look at these S'poreans. They are making money which started with small capital. Login here: http://website.ws/newtestimonials/index....

  15. Try MLM, Insurance, Property, etc such agency business do not require lots of capital and no stock holding cost but lots of effort and very thick skin to sell to all your friends

at the end it would be a 80 20 rule ie you would probably loose 80% of your friends and keep those 20%

good luck and never mind some can make it. It is worth a try and the outlay is very much lesser than 3000
