Question:

How can I start believing in myself?

I want to believe that I can do anything if I put my mind to it, and I want to have confidence. But how? Like, I don't know how to just do it. If I tell myself "I believe in myself" I feel like I'm lying to myself.

  1. to truely believe in yourself don't try so hard. sometimes you have to find a uniqueness in that most people don't have. like i think that i am very creative with my fashions and actually bring them to life and sometimes people say things but i know that i make a statement everytime and sometimes i feel that i will get noticed in my favor. it's like you kinda have to be cocky but in your head and don't show it [ the disrespect]. i like to do things that are risk taking and that might hurt until i can perfect it or master the task @ hand. confidence is your dna your fingerprint, there is only one of it in life and you must discover that uniqueness, spice, light that makes every trace of you WORTH IT

  2. My way of getting you to believe in yourself is to pass you this plate of cookies I have in front of me. I am drinking skim milk with them and I am in seventh heaven. I feel like I am five again. I am actually 65. So those must be pretty amazing cookies. My answer, in other words, is do not try so hard. Just take note of when you do something right. You can probably think of something right now that came out right just this week because of something you added. The major blessing in this lifetime is that almost all of our minor mistakes can be revisited and corrected. I feel so strongly you can make everything right in your world, and if that is not cause to begin believing in yourself, what would be?

  3. when you say it's not going to happen just cause you said it. you need to feel it if you think you can really do it!

  4. I don't think anyone's answer can really help you.  You just need to find yourself.  My suggestion- for confidence- is find something that you are really good at and pursue it.  For me, it was working with kids.  I am excellent with kids, and I knew it.  Over time, my confidence level sky rocketed.

But it's really all up to you.  Good luck
