How can I start karting?

I am trying to start karting, and I have worked as hard as I can but i don't seem to be getting closer. I don't have enough money to get my own kart and renting karts is really expensive where i am. I need to find a sponsor to get started as soon as possible as i want to race formula 1. I have the drive, and motivation but no support from my family. I need a way to make this work.

With no experience it will be difficult to try to find a sponsor. Most will want to know what kind of performance you have had in the past, beyond what you can offer them in the way of promotions.

Best bet is to take any odd job you might be able to find and save up for your first kart. Probably have to go with a year or two old used kart to start with. Now that CART is no longer I do not know if the IRL picked up the 'Stars of Tomorrow' series for young kart racers. Getting associated in that or the World Karting Association would be another step. That is if you are in the US.

The only time I kart is in the morning!
