How can I start my own fundraiser/charity?

Question

My boyfriend's brother had MS and can not afford medication anymore...he also has a 9 year old son. They are saying that somewhere in the near future he will have to be put in a wheelchair. Their family does not have very much money, and can not help him pay for his meds. I want to start an internet fundraiser/charity to raise money for his medical bills. How would I go about doing that?

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Ps. I am not rich either, so I am looking for something that doesn't cost money to start up, or to buy a web page, lol. Free is better for me to be able to do this now at least.

Well, the best way to do it, is start out with your family, friends, relatives, school pals, teachers, etc. that you know that can get you started at raising money for him.  You can see my website, here:

Free Webs is a wonderful start and a very colorful way for you to create a website. After you have done so, email your friends/family etc, I started this charity club 5 years ago, and have gained everyone from internet friends, to the two kind men at the post office, and pen pals in other countries, all helping out whatever way they can. And you can do it to! :)

well u need to start of with a brainstorm of the things u cud do to make money f.e selling drinks, different types of jobs u can do etc etc (obviously u can do more than one at the same time)

then u need to get brochures or information papers including why ur doing this event and what the purpose and aim of it is--

next u need to find sponsors- a good place to start of is ffriends and family if they sponsor u- u cud give em something in reture like a sticker saying they helped or a ribbon (f.e those breast cancer ones)

then u carry out ur event by all that sponsors u got and colect money and u keep organising events until uve got the money u need xx good luck :)
