  1. you are what you are..let nature take its place...at 16 you know little..go with the flow..better a lightweight contender than a heavyweight bum

  2. it all depends on your frame. how tall are you? some people naturally have a small frame so therefore they are much more suited to a certain weight class. if you don't have the frame to be a heavyweight then you simply will never be a good heavyweight because reaching 200lbs with the wrong frame is like trying to get obese just to make the weight. you need to make sure the weight is there to give you the power you need in that weight class, so even if you HAVE got the frame of a heavyweight you're still only 16 and 144lbs mate you won't get to 200lbs overnight. try and compete as a light/middleweight first and you  will know if you have got the frame to pack on the pounds and move up. good luck

  3. your supposed to drink plenty of H2O. One gallon will give you about 8 pounds. just don't drink like 4 or 5 gallons a day, or you'll die.

  4. d**n. What's your height?

Regardless tho, your best bet is to eat ALOT of Homemade Meat and Bread. **** like Bar-B-Que Chicken, Meatball Subs, Steak. Fast Food will get you up there quick to but you'll be a fat heavyweight that way.  Just eat alot a meat and lift a TON of weights. Bench Pressing and Dead Lifting and all the upper body workouts

  5. don't  the amount of weight you will have to put on, then the work you will have to do to refine you to a contending heavyweight,  too much time, build up weight class by weight class,  there is a reason that de la hoya is not a heavyweight,  he is not built that way,  at 16 i was boxing as a heavyweight,  weighing under 200 lbs is not likely for me when i am working out,  body structure plays a part in it all

  6. Stay at your natural weight. Anything you do to gain weight at this point will only harm your potential. Lifting weights will only make you slower and more stationary, and so will eating junk food and getting fat. Your 16, you will probably fill out soon enough, then think about stepping up to heavyweights. Be a lightweight, dominate there first, build some confidence, and then move up slowly. If your really good, you can get belts in different weight classes, but only if you take things slowly and not rush.
