  1. brush that paticular tooth every time you eat it.

    Get the apt asap.

    Get resin filling in it.

  2. Brush as well as you can.  A week or two will not make that big a difference.

  3. avoid candy, chocolate, ect.

brush and floss, even mouth wash in the morning and night.

  4. Try to avoid really sugary things and brush.

  5. When my filling came out, the dentist told me to avoid sugar until my appointment & to rinse constantly even if it was just water.

Plaque & sugar on the teeth is what cause cavities.  Since I couldn't constantly brush my teeth throughout the day, I kept a travel size bottle of mouth wash.  It helps to remove the bacteria (so the cavity will not grow) & Dr. Tichenor's Antiseptic Mouthwash did help to ease the pain. Dr. Tichenor's is very strong, I would pour some into a bottle of water every morning & just rinsed as needed. Did it for almost 2 weeks.
