Just one the same one every day, I'm pretty sure it's not from an allergy and I have recently had my eyes checked and my glasses are fine.

But it's really interferring with life in general as I have to stop what I'm doing and wipe it every few minutes

I'm pretty sure it's not a tear duct problem either.

  1. I'm wondering why you are pretty sure it isn't a tear duct problem.

99% of the time...that is exactly what the problem is. If the tears can't drain away, then some ducts are plugged up, and you get overflow.

  2. Hey kiddo please keep me posted on these answers, I didn't realize you were still signed in, not me

  3. Try some lubricating eyedrops.  My eyes used to water all the time and I was told they will keep watering, but tears don't have the right lubrication, so it just makes the problem worse.  So, lubricating drops can balance it out again.

I really like the Refresh liquigel.

  4. In all honesty it sounds like a tear duct problem.  Since it is only affecting the one eye, and you aren't having any itching, burning, or redness, it points to the tear duct.  It could be from one of two things.  Either your tear duct is too small and is not allowing the tears to drain properly, in essence causing the overflow.  The other option is the tear duct is blocked, which would cause the same effect.  The only way to find out, is your doctor can flush the tear duct to make sure it isnt blocked.  If is it, they just unblock it, if the duct is open then they can just enlarge the tear duct opening.  Either way, it's very simple to find and fix.  In the meantime, I would use artifical tears four times a day, to rule out any dryness or allergy issues.  As backwords as it sounds, if the eye is truly dry you would have an excess of tears because your eye can not absorb all the tears you are making to combat the dryness.  This way, when you see your doctor, you can rule out any outside influences, and make the problem easier to pinpoint, and save yourself an extra trip to the doctor.

    Hope that helped:)
