  1. The most successful program today to stop panic/anxiety attacks you can see it here:

  2. Ive had some anxiety issues myself.

i know, it's definitley not fun.

a good way to relax is to take DEEEEP BREATHS. breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. tell yourself everything is alright. because it is alright.

anxiety is caused by you overrreacting and worrying.

the more you learn to relax, the better you should be able to control your anxiety.

of course, if something is really bothering you and making you anxious, its always helpful to talk it out, wether its face-to-face with someone or even an online blog.

  3. ... it doesn't just go away..

i guess you could go to the doctor and get pills...

i prefer to just deal with my anxiety.

  4. You can do so with a class of medications called benzodiazeprenes, which a psychiatrist can prescribe for you.  These include brand names such as Xanax, Ativan, and Klonopin.  Valium is another popular option.  If you're having panic or anxiety attacks, these medicines are an option you should explore for your own benefit.  Besides a totally stress-free mindset/environment, they are the only thing I've found that will actually *stop* anxiety.

I wouldn't recommend stopping anxiety altogether, tho.  A little is good for you, and can help keep you active and healthy.

Herbs for anxiety include chamomile, lavender, and kava kava.

Stress eats up the magnesium in your body.  An easily-absorbed supplement like magnesium citrate might help.  B6 has also shown to be helpful for both depression and anxiety.

Exercise is a great option because it's cheap and pretty much everyone can do some form of it.  It will help you release pent-up anxiety and also releases endorphins, which stimulate neurotransmitters like dopamine, norepinenephrine and serotonin.  Your brain (specifically your amygdala, which is what allows healthy people to deal with or even thrive upon anxiety) needs these chemicals to remain healthy and to combat stress.

Yoga, which combines meditation and exercise, is an excellent choice if your body and mind are up for it.  Meditation in and of itself can be helpful, as well.

If you can find a way to minimize stress in your life, it will help curb anxiety.  Soothing music, aromatherapy, stretching, petting a dog, being around people you love...anything that helps you release stress is a positive.

  5. The best way is to see a psychiatrist and have him put you on an antianxiety medication along with an antidepressant.  I am on Klonopin .5mgs 4 times a day along with Prozac 80 mgs daily.

  6. It's not about stopping it, its controling it. This is what I do: everyday I set a time aside to think about anything and everything, good and bad, thinks that make me happy, things that make me sad/worry...everything. Then, after about an hour I stop. I make myself stop thinking about these things. I either stop on my own or occupy my mind with something else. I am not saying that this will work for you, but I do hope you attempt to conquer this anxiety rather than cover it up with medication.

  7. I take Paxol and it helps  When I don't take it  I cannot deal with the anxiety, it terrifies me.

  8. If it's something that you have control of ,then take care of it.

but if it's not, and you do not have any control over it..

then you need to let it go.

i had anxiety for many years, i only get the attacks whenever im worrying about something, and most times, it was always about something i had no control over. and what i have learn to do now is  pray. that's what works for me the most.
