Question:

How can I stop being "addicted" to Pepsi?

I can't stop! I have like 2 or 3 cans a day and I know its bad for me but it is so good. I can't ask my mom to stop buying it because i have siblings and they like it to but they have like 1 can every 3 days. Is there any other drink to substitute for it? I need some different food or drink. As I type I'm having a can right now. I feel like I'll die from the unhealthiness lol.

  1. Cut back a little everyday for the next two weeks. Like all addictions you have to withdraw gradually if you want to do it without pain(cold turkey)


  2. Get a really big glass. Fill it with ice to the top then pour the pepsi in.

    Put the glass aside and wait until all the ice has melted. Then when

    it has melted drink it. Do this once a day (or if you can skip a couple of days of pepsi drinking) to controll your addiction.

  3. try juices...or a glass of water and a candy..if you'll keep on going like that, you'll get hyper acidity and prolly ulcers soon..if u cant stop then after a can of pepsi drink a glass or 2 of water..

  4. It is most likely the caffeine you are addicted to. Caffeine addiction is hard to break. If you switched to coffee it would probably be healthier and still serve the same purpose. It's also less calories.

  5. If you can push through one week of not having anything but water or milk, your body actually starts to crave those things instead.  It really works, but if that sounds too hard at first, try limiting yourself to one can a day and then go one can every other day.  You can do it!

  6. Only drink it in a glass.  Get a very large beverage glass. Pour in the Pepsi, carefully fill glass to top with ice.

    Put the glass aside (don't drink) until all ice has melted. Then sip.  Sip on this all day.  Cut down to one can per day that way.

  7. Ask your mom to buy water if you dont like the taste of water or lack of taste but some cristal light or kool-aid singles  

  8. Stop drinking it so much. Just drink one can or a half a can each day. I was addicted to the sims but I haven't played that game in 3 months. Try to drink a lot of water right now cuz of all the soda you drink. That's way to much sugar for you blood vessels. So you really need to drink water more and more.

  9. You have become addicted to the caffeine and high sugar content. It takes guts, but you really need to quit cold turkey.  You'll have caffeine withdrawal for about two weeks, but hang in there.

    The other thing you need to do is have a serious talk to your Mom about nutrition.  Soda and fruit drinks are big time unhealthy.  Check out the labels, you'll really be shocked.

    If you hang in there, water starts to really taste good.  When that happens, you're on your way.  Drink green tea as well.

  10. limit yourself to like one a day and get into drinking more water or flavored water.
