I just saw a spider run across my wooden floor, so I ran and got the hornet spectracide (it's all poisonous, so whatever) and it was gone! I'm sooooo paranoid now, omg. This thing was huge!! Ahh! What do I do?

  1. take a rational approach.  Keep entrance points clear, and do regular cleaning like the rest of us.  And no, spiders do not actually hunt you, it is just circumstance that they happen to cross your path.  I mean, if you were a little bug, would you attack something a hundred times your size?

  2. Educated yourself on what spiders are harmful and which ones are not. I love spiders i find them fascinating.

  3. Unless it's causing disruption in your life, don't do anything.  If your fear of spiders is causing a disruption in your life, you need to desensitize yourself to them.  You can try drawing pictures of spiders until you're comfortable with that.  Then, go to playing with rubber, fake spiders until you're comfortable with that.  Then trying letting live ones crawl across your hand.  If this doesn't work, find a good therapist.

  4. Very few spiders are dangerous. In fact, it's much more likely that a spider will help you than hurt you, since they eat mosquitoes, and you're more likely to get sick from a mosquito bite than you are from a spider bite.

  5. Just assume that it went back to where it came from.  It already had its fun with you and is probably off to scare some other poor, unsuspecting soul now.  Whack it with a big shoe if it comes back for more.
