Question:

How can I stop catching the wire from my headphones on everything?

I listen to my MP3 player on an almost daily basis while I work cleaning. I'm always getting the cord from the headphones caught on everything, especially doorknobs. I don't realize I've done it until I walk away and the headphones get yanked off my head. So far this year I have broken one MP3 player and at least 2 pairs of headphones doing this. I'm not sure if I should invest in the wireless headphones (which I know nothing about) or if there is some solution to getting the cord hung up on everything. Any useful suggestions or info on wireless headphones would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  1. I do not have the answer to your question but, a word of caution; be careful as to how loud your play your headphones.  I have constant ringing in my ears from "rocking out" over all these years.  Even when there is no noise, like at bedtime, I still hear the ringing.  good luck.

  2. I have the same problem. You can:

Wear your shirt over your headphones

Form a ring with the cord and use tape or one of those sandwich bag twisty tie things to hold it together

Wrap the cord (loosely, but not so loose it unravels) around the MP3 player

Wrap the cord loosely (so you can still move your head) around your arm and use a scrucii or something similar to strap the player to your arm.

    Hope this helps. =J

    Good luck.

  3. Try just running the cord through the inside of your shirt, and up to your head. That way, it isn't hanging around and you won't have to shell out money for expensive wireless headphones.
