Question:

How can I stop cookies from virtually shutting down IE in Yahoo Groups?

I have an almost new computer, and everything else works great, including IE when not using Yahoo Groups, and Firefox even if the Groups are being used. With IE, after just a few minutes to a half hour of working in the Yahoo Groups, the page openings slow to a crawl. Up to this point, they load as rapidly as could be expected on my dial up connection, but abruptly, they slow to a point where it actually takes 4-5 minutes for a page to open. I have learned that the cookies are the problem, because when I delete them, open a new IE window, and re-register with Yahoo, it immediately speeds right back up to where it was before...but usually for only 5-10 minutes, and I have to go thru the whole process again. I've used these Groups for years without this problem, so there must be some way to avoid or fix it. Thanks for any help.
