Question:

How can I stop garden hose connections from leaking?

Every hose I have, that connects to another hose to keep the garden hose rolled, leaks. Even threaded properly, they all leak. The expensive hose, the less expensive one, all of them!

Any suggestions appreciated.

  1. I know your pain! I work at a nursery and with over 100 hoses, we have to make sure they do not leak. So, we put teflon tape on the threads and then s***w the connecting hose into that. This helps seal the threads and prevent leaks. It's super easy to do and you can pick up the tape at the hardware or plumbing store.

Here is a link to show you the tape:

    Good luck!

  2. Use a rubber washer. You can get them at any hardware store,or home center. And they are very inexpensive.
