I hit my irons fine, but the tee shot is terrible. I have lost all of my confidence in my driver.

  1. Gently try to get more upright and a little closer to the ball. Try to "finish to the hole" with a higher finish instead of letting your swing wrap around on the finish.

  2. Get through the ball. This means at your finish, your belt buckle should be pointing at your target. Also try to speed up your hip turn. If u get through the ball it is impossible to hook it, period.

  3. Four things to do: 1) Square Stance: If you laid a club shaft so that it touched the soles at both toes, that shaft would be pointing directly to your target. 2)Grip: The Vs formed by your thumbs and forefingers should be pointing just inside the rear shoulder. 3) Takeaway;  The takeaway follows the hip turn so that at the top of the backswing the club is laying in the same line as the shoulders.4) Follow Thru: Start the downswing from the bottom up by planting the lead foot which leads the hip turn which drops the club head  into hitting position  as you hit THROUGH the ball and finish high with your belt buckle facing the target.

  4. In a nutshell, the hooked tee shot comes about because the path of the golf swing is from the inside line. It is by no means the worst of all faults. The fact that the shots are hooking to the left indicates that the club face is closed to that path the moment the ball is struck. It is this combination of an in-to-out path and a closed clubface that gives you the unwanted hook-spin.

There is a simple fix for this which is a follows.

Try to stay neutral. The cure to your hooking woes is essential twofold. First, you need to swing the club into and through impact in an online path, not a severe in-to-out path. Secondly you need to make sure your club face is square(rather then closed) when it makes contact with the ball.

    Thats my advice

    hope i helped

  5. If the clubhead passes your hands through impact you will hit a hook, if you can keep your hands ahead of the clubhead through impact it is impossible to hook a drive.
