I have tried deleting temporary internet files & cookies and it doesn't help. Also I can't bookmark. It just sits there on save forever. If you know what else I can do please tell me. 1. Freezing is several problems.

Most common: bad registry errors, viruses or spyware running in the background, Lack of memory (RAM) usable.

Press ALT CONTROL and DELETE together (Just once). Look at (Perfromance Tab), Physical Memory (K), how much do you have total? Available? System Cache? If your freezing and lagging, you'll see the cpu usage jumping up and down, sign of computer has a program using the system resources. Get it scanned.

If someone erased the harddrive, formated it too, then reinstall windows and all the drivers, your computer would be super fast again. Just a matter of time before it loads itself up with useless junk. I would consider looking into registry errors first, then do some scans, and last get it completely erased so the problem is gone for good.

  2. Have you tried defraging it?(defragmentation)  Also the other person maybe right.  You could have viruses or spyware slowing it down.  I use anti-spy by Yahoo and it is free.  it does a good job for me.
