How can I stop my dog from digging?

Question

I've tried about everything from a designated digging place, to putting the dogs f***s where she like to dig!

Any suggestions?

my dog use to dig too, we set up chicken fence around the fence, it really works! Plus it's cheap.

Buy a rat trap.  Set the trap and carefully place upside down in the hole(s) where the dog likes to dig.  Sprinkle some loose dirt over the trap.  The next time the dog goes to dig in that spot, the weight and movement will set the trap off tossing dirt up into the air~that and the loud snapping sound should teach your dog it's not fun to dig.  Good luck.

Like many undesirable canine behaviors, destructive habits usually develop because a dog is bored, lonely, or both. It's not fair or realistic to expect your dog--especially a working breed --to spend long hours quietly sitting and waiting for your return. By nature dogs are curious and sentient beings; see that she has enough mental and physical stimulation to minimize the impulse to dig and chew.
