How can I stop my eyeliner from smudging while its on my lower lashline?

Question

whenever i put my eyeliner on my lower lasline it always smudges (down 2 wear most ppl have bags under their eyes) how can i stop this from happening...thanks everyone!!!

i have the same prob...i guess you may just have to do it manually and ever little while wipe gently under your eye to ensure non of it has leaked..

actually my mum uses liquid eyeliner and it never smudges...

First off get a good primer(SHE-LAQ) from benefit cosmetics works wonders, Also use a liquid waterproof type eyeliner. Kohl tends to smudge alot easier. You can also try using a beige type base to line the lower lash line of the eye to give the eyeliner something to stick to. Avoid using moisturizes on the lower eye area as this can make skin oily and cause it to slide off more easily.

I disagree, applying eyeliner looks much better on the bottom than on the upper lashline, as it brings out your eyes more. It can look too much on the top if you wear mascara. Also, buy some liquid eyeliner. It can be a pain to get used to, but once youve got it, you can create an even flawless look that doesn't smudge :)

I have always had this problem also.  There are creamy eyeliners, when you put them on they are really soft and glide right on when you apply.  These are the bad ones.  I use maybelline expert eyes pencil.  You have to very briefly burn the tip with a lighter or match, then blow to cool down, which makes the liner semi creamy when applying.  Any eye make up needs to be refreshed after a couple hours, but this one seems to take double the time of any pencil to smudge as any eye pencil I have ever used.  Also, putting a touch of compact powder (same as your skin complexion) under the eyelid works even better with use of the eyeliner pencil. Buy yourself a eyeliner that is smudge-proof/water-proof or that says 16 hours on it.

Also -- stop applying it on your lower lashline.  Observe how the make-up artists apply it on models.. they don't apply it on the lower lashline, they apply lots of mascara and they draw a line above the eye.  Maybe some on the UPPER lashline, but never on the lower one.

i have the same prob too!! i just dono hw to get rid of it, thtas the prob with kohl, so i think u shd just apply less liner on the lower lid n more on the upper lid.
