How can I stop my friend from being a label-whor*?

Ok, so I have this friend I have known since I was like 5 and we are super close. Anyways, she has always been shy and not really out there, and this year she started to become what we know as a label-whor*.

Anyways, it all started going on when she went to a new school. It is an all girls school and they are all rich and annoying. All they wear is Abercrombie, Juicy, Hollister, Pink, ect. (I am not trying to be stereo-typical, this is just my point of view. I am not saying all girls that attend all-girl schools are like this)

I am trying to show my friend that she needs to have her own sense of style and that she is just becoming another robot.

...

In my opinion, wearing this stuff is a way for her to always be safe and have a place to be. It doesn't require much thinking, just blowing 50 bucks on a t-shirt and you know that you aren't stepping out of your comfort zone.

I am trying to help here, but I don't know what to do. Please give advice.

And please, no mean comments, I am just trying to be a good friend. :[

Thanks ...

  1. Clothes shouldn't matter to ya.

If her attitude changes negatively, then you should start to worry.

You have no say in what she wants to wear. It's just clothes.
