How can I stop my husband from compulsive spending?

I love my husband but he will go at all lenghts to spend money we dont have he writes bad checks and takes my checkbook when im a sleep I have tried to tell him that this behavior will get us in serious trouble i dont know what to do!

Whats he spending money on? anything major? your check book do you have his name on the account.. maybe its time to close the account and just send money orders.. if he's the only one thats signing checks but your name on it yep they could send both to prision..

Get separate accounts.  Get checks only with your name on them.

Destroy your old checks and destroy all his credit cards, as soon as you get a hold of his wallet.

Call a counsellor and get help, he has an illness.  Uncontrollable spending is a serious condition, it's close to gambling.

A lot of marriages have that "responsible" partner and the "irresponsible' one.

i myself would like to get this problem solved husband goes to work in one car comes home in another has multipe games systems and we could put blockbuster to shame with our movie room it never ends never
