  1. ok. i have a royal and i know if he ever tried to bite me he would be dinner the next night. ;0) as for the biting... I would let him alone a week. and then try reaching in there with a glove on. take him out... put him in a cardbaord box and feed him a rat. then... let him back in his tank... and then the following day... take him out and hold him like he never tried to bite you. Reach inside the tank... and touch him... talk to him... say his name and tell him you are going to hold him... then pick him up careful not to pinch him or squeeze him... Hold him ten min or so... and then put him back in his tank. Do this often. Prolly about 5 times a day. Let him get used to being held. Once every 7 days he needs to eat. But the following day after you feed I would not  hold him. NEVER feed him inside his tank... he might think you are a mouse and try to get your hand by accident!

Hold him in 10 min intervals the first week... then try 15 min. then 20 min... then 30 min. as you increase the time holding him... decrease the amount of times. What I mean is... since it is only 10 min a day... try holding him atleast 5 times for the 10 min. then... when it is 20 min... try only holding him 3 times a day or the 20 min... then when it is 30 min a time... try only 2 times a day... soon he will be ok with you holding him for hours. Go outside... wipe the counters... clean the house... Just dont get a plastic shopping bag or vaccume... those scare my Royal... so he might scare with them as well!

  2. Why did the people you got him from get rid of him?

Could it be because he's very aggressive?

  3. take it's teeth out.

  4. Use a V stick to first hold down it's head. Then just reach in and grab just behind the head.

  5. dont feed him in the tank...get him a feeding box(shoe box.ect..)..then when he get dont eating put him back in the tank

  6. Snakes bite for two reasons- feeding and defense. These sound like defensive bites.

Most snakes will stop biting eventually, once they become accustomed to you. This requires frequent handling.

I suspect that you, like most beginners, are not picking up the snake correctly.

Most beginners are nervous about being bitten, and therefore reach in slowly and cautiously, before grabbing the snake. This method actually INVITES bites, as it gives the snake too much time to react!

Instead, reach in quickly and decisively, and just GRAB the snake and pick it up!

By doing so quickly, you have it in your hand before it has time to react. Snakes usually do not bite the hand that holds them.

  7. wait a little, bit, if hes new, he will get used to you! =]

  8. Okay Dude dont be scared but this is when my friends albino ball python was very and i mean very agressive. He wasnt so agressive with my friend cuz it was his pet But with other people he wouldnd like them to hold him.You can get oven gloves and handle it for like an hour a day And then he'll get used to you. What i did is a little diffrent. I handled him and let him bite me then i got used to it but it hurted like h**l. He started getting a little friendly but still bit me but rarely tho. I started giving him mice every 2 weeks andd he became more attached to me than his owner!. You gotta belive that you trained your pet like you wanted to and that he loves you.

  9. I suggest you refer to my answer to the same post you put up last week.
