How can I stop my neghbours that i'm friends with usng my internet wireless connection that i'm! paying for?

They let it slip out that they had been sending e-mails Iand ordering stuff as well as bookig flights I know they dont have an isp so what do I do

call the people who u use ---if u use wifi lock it down on this setting wepa2 --it will secure ur network

Simple. Encrypt your wireless. Get someone to do it if you don't know how.

Secure, encrypt it,  So it needs a password to use,   Not just for neighbours though,  Anyone could sit otside your house in car, with laptop and see  all you are doing  .  copy addresses and personal details etc,

Okay try this - talk to them. If they don't stop then try calling the cops, that's not right.. they have no right to do that. It's your property and they can go to jail for doing that.. don't let the fact that you're friendly with them get in your way..

If somebody does something illegal using your connection, you will be liable unless you can prove otherwise.

In an ideal world, yes, sharing would be cool, but we don't live like that at the moment.

Enable a strong WPA password, hide the SSID, enable MAC address filtering, so only approved devices can use your router.

You are no fun.  Where is the communal spirit?  Oh. Right, this isn't China.  Seriously, most wireless routers have some sort of list of permitted computers & devices.  If you enable that feature and list your computer & printer, blackberry or whatever and don't list anything else, they are screwed.  Ah me.  I guess I'll have to find another way to watch Paris Hilton do stupid stuff.

Secure your network!! (password protect) because it may not just be them that are using it..it could be ur whole street!

and also they could access any of your information stored on your computer, i cannot empathise enough that you need to secure it!
