I heard somewhere that if you hang a few conkers around the house, it makes spiders stay away. Has anyone tried it and does it work?

  1. Use of chestnuts sometimes work, have a look at this site.

  2. Just suck the little critters up in the hoover - mind you, spiders arent bad really - they eat the flies.

  3. I've never heard of the conkers thing, but if you dust and hoover regularly it should get rid of them.

  4. If you have spiders you have flies and other bugs. The spiders will go away when there is nothing for them to feed on.

  5. try putting the rent up then they will probably leave and go to live somewhere cheaper

  6. Seriously, I spray flea spray around my skirting boards. I only do it about 3 times a year, but no longer see any spiders, wood lice or anything!

  7. There are various sprays on the market that deter all sorts of creepies but they need to be used regularly.Worst time of the year for spiders is Autumn as they come indoors for the winter. Scary days ahead!

  8. Not to sure really, someone said suck it up the hoover???

    Don't be so cruel!

There's some hoovers you can get, for example, my sister has a hoover that is designed to pick up spiders, it's not very powerful, but it pulls them to the end off the plastic tube. Then when you turn the power off, it can simple fall out. When outside off course!
