I was at the Air & Water Show in Chicago on Saturday. I had Sunglasses on, but no sunscreen. My forehead got burned, and it has started to burn. I tried Aloe, but it doesn't stop the burning for that long. What else could I try to stop the burning?

I wish I had put Sunscreen on now...

  1. http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

the bottle looks a little different now but i bought this stuff last summer when i had a bad sunburn and it took the burning pain away immediatly since then i have used it on a few burns from cooking and it takes the pain away instantly. you can find it at really any drugstore or grocery store i got mine at cvs but i saw them at walmart the other day. i cant tell you how magical this stuff is when your in pain! i also bought this http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...

and used it when my burn was almost all better and it moisturized it so good and kept me from peeling.

i love these two products so much i sware i will never go a summer without them ever again!

  2. Caffeine has been proven in studies to eliminate the cancerous cells caused by sunburn. My daughter has very fair skin and when she has gotten sunburn we soak a dish towel in cool coffee and lay it across her sunburn. It has amazing results and in the morning the we can't even tell she has been sunburned. I think the pharmacuetical companies don't want us to know this 'cause they can't profit from it.

  3. aloe vera

  4. they say dont take a shower the day you get a sunburn. washing the sunburn takes all your natural oils off your skin which only makes the burning more intense and will make it peel...no moisture...you should apply lotion so you dont peel and just take a cold washcloth and apply it to the burn..

  5. Man sunburns suck...

The best thing is to apply a cool compress as often as you can in order to take away the heat, and take ibuprofin for the swelling and pain. I have never found aloe vera to be of much use.

  6. cold water or ice will help stop it for awhile a cold cloth on your forehead  might help but other than that the only thing I can think of is take ibuprofen or asprin or something like that
