Several times each week, I find messages on my answering machine trying to sell me health insurance or warantee packages for my car or ways to lower my credit card balance. How can I get this to STOP???

  1. List your number on the national do not call registry.  It is free and really makes a difference.

    https://www.donotcall.gov/

  2. Put your number on the National Do Not Call List.  http://www.donotcall.gov/ and if (after a month or so) someone does call you, report them.

  3. Go completely wireless.. they don't call cell phones, i never get those `calls

  4. 1.Remove your land line and  go completely wireless, which is the trend most of the country is going to anyway. I did about two years ago and never looked back. I also don't receive calls from telemarketers either.

    2. Some states have a No Call list that provides hefty fines for any telemarketers that call you. If your state has one, sign up for it.

  5. get on a do not call list I think your telephone company should have one

  6. The Do Not Call Registry works for "legitimate" sellers.  It won't stop the unethical ones.

  7. The National Do Not Call Registry

    https://www.donotcall.gov/

    Worked for me.

  8. Next time they call, (if its a person) tell them to put you on their DO NOT CALL list. Or look up on google for the number to the DO NOT CALL hotline. (Its a real thing.) Good luck, because i know how annoying it is. I get them all the time. And they only pick computers to do it so u cant say 'dont call here again' lol!
