How can I strengthen a friendship with a girl through text messaging?

Make her smile. Be funny and/or cute.

And cut your hand off before you tell her you're bored.

Make her think, "Yes!! He texted me back!!" or "I hope it's him!!" instead of, "What's he got to say to me this time????!" You know?

Be there for her like a normal friend.

Lift her up when she's down or feeling it.

Don't always have a, "Hey, how are you doing?" conversation. Or "How was your day?" I mean, it's really nice to ask these questions and they show her that you care, but she wants the conversation to go a lot deeper like, "Well, what do you think about this?" -From the movie She's the man- Do you like cheese? Ask her the basic questions-like her favorites- movies, colors, food, middle name. I love it when peole ask me questions like that. It used to bother me that people forgot, but now that I'm the one forgetting too-I'm 20- It only bothers me for a split second and then makes me realize that they just care.

Be easy to talk to.

Show her your true self because it's you that you want her to fall in love with.

Just be friendly. Remeber texting is a dangerous form of communication the reader has to add the emotion and often can take things out of context. The limited amount you can type can cause misunderstanding.

Texting is not a safe form of communication, when good communication is needed.

When you text her, just ask her how her day is going, make little jokes, say stuff you know will make her smile, play truth or truth (get to know you game) ask questions just to know her better.

Ask questions. Get to know about her, and then tell her about yourself. If it's over text messaging, its the best you can do. Talk about your interests, and everything and anything. If you guys both trust each other with everything you say, then the friendship will strengthen automatically. Maybe talk about your past relationships, and find every common factor

First ask her the common questions that may seem silly to you, but I love it when people ask dumb little things like what my favorite color is because it's different and you'll show her you care about the little things (: It really is sweet and later on in a text, you can bring up with of those little facts she shared with you and she will definitely be suprised you remembered! I don't know, it's just a nice gesture. I like it and I do it to other people and they're very shocked but also seem very eager to answer them.

Then, start asking her some more personal questions..but be fair and tell her about your personal life too. Family, past relationships, school, etc etc.

Eventually, you will build trust.

This isn't really my thing, but girls like it when you remember the little stuff. Don't push it. You should get her to get into a like fun mood, and make funny little notes or smiles to show that u really enjoy talking to her. If you seem bored or uninterested, then it makes her feel bad. Also, you should make up little stuff between you 2. You know how people have there own handshakes and stuff, well do that with her cause it creates a bond that only you 2 have. I hope I helped.

It's possible. That's what I'm doing. Now me and my beloved Adrian's friendship has grown stronger with time. And eventually, the 2 of us will become 1. If I were in her shoes, I'd more enjoy a not-so-often yet long text conversations, it would bring excitement to the kind of friendship u'r sharing coz if u text each other everyday it would come to a point when you know what she's doing every minute, It would really get boring.

And another thing is that would give her time to digest what u have talked about  days before, she might even spend more & more time thinking about you, looking forward to the day u'll be texting again.
