How can I style my hair this way?

Question

I have thick wavy hair that tends to end up similar to these hair styles, but I want it to have the look that these models have. I don't want it to end up looking so dry. I have very dark hair and its medium length, maybe that is why it seems and looks so dry? Thanks for helping me out guys. I had to do my hair like that one time for a show, and my stylist teased the whole thing for me using a flat comb, round brush, and some hairspray. Also, if you take a section and hold on to it and push the other part up with your fingers, it works. I hope I helped and good luck!!! :) ♥

OMG same!! My hair is awful! It's very thick (no matter how many times I thin it) and frizzy and when I straighten it, it looks very dry and lifeless

So I shall also wait for a good answer for this question =]

use a serum

and a leavin in conditioner

and deep condition your hair once a week

dont use heat on your hair

and get lots of damage repair stuff

be easy while brushing
