Question:

How can I submit my drawings/cartoons on line or the local paper.?

When I was younger I used to love to draw and paint.

Friends and relatives would always say that I would go places with my art.

Thirty years later I still have not done anything with it.

Recently I started drawing again and I'm really enjoying it.

My wife and relatives are telling me I should really think about submitting my work but I don't know where to start.

Should I go online or try my local newspaper ads?

PLEASE, if there is anyone out there that may be in advertising or knows how to get my work public, please advice.

Thank you.

  1. YouTube, MySpace etc are all free and easily accessible. If you can start building up a following there it's going to be easier if you ever want to go commercial.

Let the major players like these guys who already have a huge audience get people to come to you.

You only need to know the best way to get people to your pages once there on that site.

  2. Hi,

There are many ways to market a small business on the web.  You can buy banner ads, text links, or use PPC.  However, the best way is to get listed in a bunch of portals. Portals and directories are like phone books, and they often provide a lot of traffic because they tend to rank high on Google.

This portal is giving away a free business card holder for lising your business (I got mine a few days ago in the mail).  If you want to know about some other portals, just let me know.
