Question:

How can I successfully contact the US-Iranian Embassy?

My brother and I were born in Iran but grew up in California and technically we have dual citizenship. My father passed away recently and we have been urged by relatives to pursue information on inheritance. I've tried contacting daftar.org 100 times but they don't answer the phone or respond to emails. What do I do? These things usually have a statute of limitations on them. Anyone else have experience with this particular country?

  1. To contact the US-Iranian Embassy, you would need a time machine.  Best to follow Yak Rider's advice.  An alternative is to contact the Embassy of Switzerland Tehran:

  2. The US and Iran do not have diplomatic relations.  We have no embassy there and they have none here.  I recommend you contact the Iranian Mission to the United Nations for advice on how to proceed.
