Open up the window shades to let the light in instead of turning on lights.

You can buy portable solar arrays that you could put on your windowsill or on a porch.  I put a link to one such unit in the sources.  You won't be able to do more than charge a camera battery, or run an alarm clock, but every little bit helps!
