  1. In Internet Explorer under File is an an option called Import and Export. It will export all your Fav's to a file.  You can periodically update the file in the same manner.   This file can then be imported to  IE or most any browser if you have to reinstall.

  2. Easier than exporting is to simply copy the faves folder from the original computer to a disc (or jump drive) and use that to overwrite the favorites folder on the new computer.  Your favorites folder in XP should be located at:

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Favorites

and in Vista it is at:

    C:\Users\username\Favorites

If by some odd chance your Favorites are not there, use the PC's search (searchword: Favorites) and find the folder that way.

  3. Email them to yourself.  I have a folder called keepers where I store different sites and other stuff I don't want to lose if I have to format my harddrive.

  4. gud luck
